Lash Extensions

Before + After Care

Before Your Appointment

It’s always appreciated when you arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free lashes.

Please note: Every client must fill out a client Information + waiver form prior to starting treatment.

New clients: Please have your forms filled out prior to your arrival

  • No eye makeup the day of your appointment, including bottom lashes. We want to spend time working on perfecting your lashes rather than removing your eye makeup. (For example: mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, concealer, etc.) If there is any makeup residue there will be a $15 add-on charge for a deep cleaning. Leftover makeup leaves a film on the lashes which the lash extension won't adhere correctly to and the extensions will then detach prematurely and cause retention problems leaving you to come in for fills more often. Always make sur eto arrive to your appoinmtnet with clean and makeup free eyes.

  • Remove any eye make up with an OIL-FREE makeup remover made for lash extensions. Please DO NOT use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application.

  • Do not use makeup wipes, oil-free or not. When using makeup wipes there are ingredients from the wipes that remain on your lashes. For longer lasting results we need your lashes as clean as possible.

  • Avoid applying moisturiser to the eye area prior to your appointment (that includes, lotion, creams, sunblock, etc.)

  • Having freshly washed hair and skin is best because lash extensions require a 24-48 hour drying period  after your lash application and MUST be kept dry and moisture free. (During 24 hours NO home hair wash/shower. Salon hair wash is ok. As long as your lashes do not get wet.

  • If you wear contact lenses, wear glasses instead to your appointment or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive to your appointment

  • Due to your eyes being closed for a long period of time, please limit your caffeine & liquid intake 3-4 hours prior to your appointment to avoid restroom breaks during your session. You are free to use the restroom prior to your appointment start time.

After Care

  • Refrain away from water or moisture on your lashes within 24 hours from your appointment time (no shower, moisture, sauna, and heavy exercising that would cause excessive sweating). (Salon hair wash is ok. As long as your lashes do not get wet.)

  • No waterproof or oil-based mascara, including on bottom lashes. Use all oil-free products. No oil based products on or around the eye area. Anything oil-based that is used on the bond will eventually make the lash extensions slip off prematurely.  (face wash, cleansers, lotions, eye/makeup removers, creams, sunscreen, wipes, etc.)

  • After shower or getting your lashes wet, gently pat dry lashes (don't let air dry).

  • Clean your lashes a minimum of 2-3 times a week with lash wash made for lash extensions. By cleaning your lashes daily the dirt, dead skin cells and oil buildup won't accumulate and wont cause infections. Use lint free products to remove makeup around the eye.  Brush and groom your lashes every morning and after showers with a clean and dry mascara wand to maintain growth.

  • No pulling, rubbing, picking, or sleeping on eyelash extensions, treat your lashes with love.

  • No tinting or perming of eyelash extensions.

  • Please see a trained lash technician to have your extensions removed.

  • With lash growth serums please be careful when using one. Make sure it is LASH EXTENSION PROOF. As many lash growth serums contain oil that will break down the bond and fall out and/or decrease the time the lashes will last. We sell an amazing lash growth serum at the salon that is lash extension proof!

  • To extend the life of your lashes, please schedule touch-ups every 2-3 weeks.

  • Should any kind of eye drops be necessary, extra care should be taken to prevent liquid onto the eyelash extensions

*Failure to adhere to these instructions may cause the eyelash extensions to fall out and/or decrease the time the lashes will last. *

*Normally we shed 2-5 lashes a day but by following these rules you will extend the length of having fuller looking lashes.*

*Those who have a faster eyelash growth cycle may need a touch-up sooner,

while those with a slower eyelash growth cycle may not need a touch-up as often.*
