Before Your Appointment
Grow your brows out
Avoid trimming your brows for 8 weeks before your appointment. Enough natural length is what allows the lamination to hold and shape properly, so skipping this step can limit your results.
Skip retinol and exfoliants beforehand
Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, or other active skincare products on the brow area for 48 hours prior to your appointment, since these can make the skin more sensitive during treatment.
Check your medications
Brow lamination is not recommended for clients currently on strong oral medications, Accutane, or other prescription grade medications that thin or sensitize the skin. If you're unsure whether a medication you're taking applies, check with your doctor before booking.
Arrive with clean brows
Come to your appointment with the brow area free of makeup and skincare product buildup.
After Your Appointment
Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours
No water, steam, sweating, or makeup on the brows for the first 24 hours. Moisture during this window can loosen the lamination before it's fully set.
Hands off
Avoid touching, picking, or over brushing your brows while the lamination fully sets in the first day.
Skip oil based products near the brows
Oil based cleansers, moisturizers, and makeup removers can break down the lamination faster. Use oil free products around the brow area going forward.
Brush gently into place
Once the first 24 hours have passed, gently brush your brows into shape each morning with a clean spoolie to keep them looking fresh between appointments.
Avoid heavy sweating and swimming when possible
Frequent swimming and heavy sweating are two of the biggest factors that shorten how long lamination holds, so limiting exposure where you can helps extend your results.
Repeat Appointments
Results typically last 4 to 8 weeks, with some clients holding their shape up to 12 weeks depending on natural hair growth and how closely the aftercare above is followed. Most clients rebook every 6-7 weeks to keep their brows consistently full.
What's Normal
Some clients notice a slightly stiffer or more textured feel to the brow hair in the first day or two as the lamination fully sets. This softens on its own and is not a sign anything went wrong.
