Brow Lamination FAQ

Everything you need to know before and after your brow lamination appointment at Goodie Beauty.

What is brow lamination?

A treatment that restructures the brow hair so it holds in whichever direction it's brushed, giving instantly fuller, more lifted, symmetrical brows. It's especially helpful for gaps between hairs or brows that grow in different directions, since it fills in the look of sparse areas without any added product.

Will brow lamination damage my eyebrows?

No. With proper products and technique, it's damage free to your natural brow hair.

Does it hurt?

No, the process is comfortable and pain free.

How long does brow lamination last?

Typically 4 to 8 weeks, with results holding up to 12 weeks for some clients, depending on your natural hair growth cycle and how well you follow the aftercare instructions.

Is wax or tint included?

Brow shaping (waxing) is included with all brow lamination services. Tint options are available as an add-on. Choose full lamination with wax and tint for the complete treatment, or lamination with a complimentary wax at a shorter appointment length. See our full Brow Lamination page for pricing.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Avoid trimming your brows for 8 weeks before your appointment, so there's enough hair length for the lamination to hold and shape properly. Avoid retinol or exfoliating products on the brow area for 48 hours prior.

Who shouldn't get brow lamination?

It's not recommended for clients currently on strong oral medications, Accutane, or other prescription grade medications that thin or sensitize the skin. If you're unsure whether a medication you're taking applies, ask your doctor before booking.

Can I get brow lamination if I have permanent makeup (microblading)?

Yes, as long as the area is fully healed. We recommend waiting at least 4 weeks after they've been fully healed from your last permanent makeup brow session.

Can I wear makeup on my brows afterward?

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Most clients find they need little to no brow makeup afterward, since the lamination already fills in and defines the shape.

What should I avoid right after my appointment?

Keep your brows completely dry for 24 hours after treatment, and avoid touching, picking, or over brushing them while the lamination fully sets.

What else should I know?

You may notice "baby lashes" growing in at odd angles shortly after your lift. This is normal and usually a sign those lashes are getting ready to shed naturally, or that it's close to time for your next lift.
